NYX Cosmetics Sale Haul

Last week I stumbled (purposely looked for, I’m just trying to make myself feel better about the obscene amount of money I spent for no reason) across the NYX Cosmetics UK sale. There were some really good deals on and I needed to pick up a few bits for an upcoming shoot anyway, so I thought I’d treat myself…

Not all of the bits I picked up are wearable on a day to day basis, but I needed to grab a few creative bits for my kit and, well, you can never have too many options when it comes to lip liners.

Eye and Lip Pencils

I really needed some coloured khol pencils for my kit, and I’ve heard these NYX pencils are a great dupe for the Urban Decay 24/7 Liners, which I love. These are super creamy and come in such beautiful jewel tones, can’t wait to use them as part of a full look.

The lip liners I picked up as they were £2.50 each, so I just grabbed all of the shades that were in the sale. These swatch really nicely too, they’re creamy but not to the point that they’ll move too much.

Cosmic Metals Lip Creams

I grabbed 4 shades of the Cosmic Metals Lip Creams, they were in the sale for next to nothing and I don’t have anything like these in my makeup drawers. All of the colours are a little different, which I like, as they can be used lightly as toppers to become wearable on a day to day basis or applied generously for a creative, fun look.

Duo-Chromatic Lip Glosses

These actually weren’t in the sale, however I wanted to get some nice lip toppers for my kit when I do editorial looks, these are really lovely and not at all sticky, also they’re really pigmented.

Other little bits...

I picked up this Bright Idea highlighting stick and am so glad I did, I never would have picked this up had I seen it in the shop but I’m really impressed with this, the formula is stunning and silky and the colour blends to such a beautiful, dewy ‘lit from within’ look.

Next I picked up a glitter glue as I needed to pick up one for my kit, I’ve been using the MAC Mixing Medium to apply glitter however I find it stings on my eyes, so I wouldn’t want to risk using it on clients. I also picked up some holo glitter, because, why not?
