TK Maxx Makeup Steals

When you think about buying new makeup, I doubt that TK Maxx is your first (or even second) port of call. However, over the past month I have made savings of £120.82 on brands such as Anastasia Beverly Hills, Rodial and Becca- so it’s worth popping in there and having a look.

A few weeks ago I made an order online of a few bits that I didn’t really need, but the savings were too good to pass up (£13 for a Rodial Contour Powder!) and today I went into the store to have a look and was really impressed by the bits they had in there, so I wanted to write a post about what I bought and how much I saved.

All of the makeup purchased is in date and undamaged, I’m not too sure how TK Maxx works, but I believe  they buy last seasons stock from brands and then sell at a discounted price- so it’s basically the stuff that the brands couldn’t flog.

Anastasia Beverley Hills Contour Cream Kit

This is what started me off, as I was going to buy it for my kit anyway. I walked into the store and saw one remaining Contour Cream Kit brand new, untouched and still in the box. The ABH Cream contour Kits retail for £42, however the TK Maxx price is £24.99 making a saving of £17.01

Anastasia Beverley Hill Blush Trio

I picked this up as I’ve heard really good things about these trios and I’ve never tried the ABH Blush formula so I thought it would be a good taster. The trio I have is Peachy Love and retails for £30, however TK Maxx are selling it for £14.99.

NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick 3 Piece Set

I actually was going to buy this anyway for an upcoming shoot I have planned, so it was a massive bonus when I saw it in store for £7.99 for three! I love the formula of these, whoever the smell is a bit off-putting. The set retails with NYX for £19.79.

Rodial Dark Contour Powder

Rodial is becoming really popular at the moment and I’ve heard lots of MUA’s swear by their products, however I personally couldn’t justify spending £52 retail price per powder at this very moment. So I ordered it online from TK Maxx for £13! I do really enjoy this powder, it’s really soft and build-able, however I have the shade ‘Dark’, which is anything but… my skin tone is light to medium and it is slightly too fair for me at the moment which is disappointing.

Becca Gold Pop Shimmering Skin Perfecter

This is gorgeous. It’s my first ever purchase from Becca and will not be my last. I wasn’t expecting this to be a cream but it’s the most beautiful, silky forumla that just lights up the skin. The shade I have is Gold Pop and this retails for £30 but I got it for £16.99.

BY TERRY Glow Expert Duo Stick

I’m not really sure why I bought this to be honest, I thought it would be a good one in my kit to use on mature skin as I always like to try new cream products for this purpose. However I was disappointed by the quality of this and the packaging is faulty as it’s very difficult to twist up. The shade I have is Cream Melba and it retails for £38 but the TK Maxx price is £16.99.
